Earlier in the day, BJP Deputy Leader V K Malhotra had said there was almost no legislative business during the post-lunch session except the introduction of two bills. His party colleague Karbela Swain pointed out that except the introduction of the two bills, which was only a matter of a few minutes, the members would have no work till the private members' business at 1530 hours.

• Countering the charge, Azad said, "They (BJP) should decide what role they want to play. The Opposition can only raise issues and it is for the government to decide which ones are to be taken up and when."
• In the coming week, he said, two days are listed for bills and two days for discussion on issues raised by the Opposition.
