Antulay, Jaffer Sharief, Margaret Alva, Shankarsinh Vaghela and Shakeel Ahmed. Then there are the dropped ministers -- Oscar Fernandes, H. R. Bhardwaj, Sis Ram Ola, Saifuddin Soz and Shivraj Patil. The party also has to fill up over half- a- dozen vacancies in Rajya Sabha after some of its leaders got elected to the Lower House. Among those rumoured to be appointed general secretaries are Shivraj Patil, Oscar Fernandes, Shakeel Ahmed, Mani Shankar Aiyar, Ramesh Chennithala and P. J. Kurian. However, the sources said, Ahmed is more keen to become Bihar Congress chief. V. M. Sudheeran, an Ezhava leader with a clean image, may replace Chennithala as the Kerala Congress head. The name of former minister Kurian is also doing the rounds. Antulay is said to be lobbying for an ambassadorial assignment in West Asia, while Sharief is eyeing a " good" Raj Bhavan. Ministers such as Pranab Mukherjee, A. K. Antony, Pranab Mukherjee and Ajay Maken may be relieved of their organisational duties.
