BPCC president Mehboob Ali Qaiser, AICC secretary Sagar Raika, AICC minority cell national president Imran Kidwai, Congress Legislature Party leader in the state assembly Ashok Kumar, party's leader in the legislative council Mahachandra Prasad Singh, former state assembly Speaker Sadanand Singh, Chandan Bagchi and Ramjatan Sinha would accompany the Union ministers during their tour across the state. BPCC chief spokesperson Prem Chandra Mishra said that the Congress has blown the bugle for the assembly elections in Bihar. He described the tour of Union ministers as a part of electioneering. The poll campaign of the party was launched by Wasnik at Kishanganj on June 21. Mishra said that the Congress believes in taking all the people along but would focus more on the minority community. Even the Union ministers, who would be touring the state, are from different castes, he said. The Congress programmes would overshadow the activities of different politi-cal parties in the state, he said.
He added the Congress would organize a state-level rally at the Gandhi Maidan probably in August. The party would field its candidates from all the 243 assembly constituencies in the state in the assembly elec-tions. The Congress would not have any alliance with other parties, including LJP and RJD, Mishra said.
